This page is dedicated in memory of Stan Szymanski. Stan used to send us emails of church and biblical trivia all the time. I saved most of them. When I showed the idea to Stan he added a whole bunch more. Each time you log into this page, you'll get another one of Stan's messages.
Stan passed away Oct. 20, 2005. He will be sorely missed. Easter Vigil Mass will never be the same without Stan's voice recounting the story of Genesis in the candle-lit church.

Feasts of the Church - Technically, one category of liturgical day, namely of lesser rank than a "solemnity," and of higher rank than a "memorial." In popular usage, however, "feast" is applied indiscriminately by the faithful to all liturgical days on which the Church commemorates a mystery of the Lord or Our Lady, or keeps the memory of a saint or blessed.
