The Knights of Columbus, the world's largest Catholic fraternal organization, was founded in 1882 by
Fr. Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, CT.

Our Lady Queen of Peace Council continues follows the example established by Fr. McGivney. The following are just some of the ways that we carry out Fr. McGivney's mission in Maywood: by supporting the church, helping people financially in their pursuit of their religious vocation, supporting the rights of the unborn by holding an annual Roses for Life Campaign, donating money and time to local organizations such as the MYAA, and the National Night Out. The Council also holds annual Blood and Food drives, awards scholarships to help offset the cost of college and Catholic High School tuition, and donates Christmas presents to underprivileged children. If you wish to become a member you can approach our Chaplain, Deacon Joe Mantineo, or access our website: www.maywoodkofc.org
