Prayer Shawl Ministry

WELCOME TO OUR PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

My name is Janice Cromwell and I am very happy to be a part of OLQP.

It was in the summer of 2006 when I saw the first shawl being made by a family member.  Aunt Marie truly inspired me when she explained the ministry to me.

The mission was to combine the care and love of knitting and crocheting into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need.   This especially touched my heart and I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of this kind of ministry.

I began small, just by myself knitting from home. It was and still is rewarding to see the pleasure on people’s faces when they are given one of our prayer shawls.

In October 23, 2008, with the Grace of God and lots of encouragement from our Pastor and family we had our first meeting at Our Lady Queen of Peace.

We have members who attend our meetings and members who work from home but attend our blessings.
