The Pastoral Council of Our Lady Queen of Peace church serves as an advisory board to the parish pastor. The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to ensure that the life of the parish reflects the mission of Jesus Christ and that all parishioners are provided with the opportunity to share in that mission.  It works as an intermediary between the parishioners and the clergy, but not blocking direct contact. The pastor, along with representatives of many parish ministries, serves on the council.  The term length of each position varies from one to four years.

Check the bulletin for meeting times.

Pastoral Council Details

Welcome to the Pastoral Council website of Our Lady Queen of Peace church.  The Council is one of the Ministries here at OLQP.  We are a group of nine parishioners who work together with our Administrator, Fr. Tony, to ensure that the spirituality of our parish reflects the mission of Jesus Christ.  All of our members are involved in one, or more, ministries, and we encourage others to be a part of our ministry family.

We meet monthly from Sep - May with Fr. Tony to discuss ideas and to address any concerns any parishioners or we might have in order to help our parish to stay strong and grow in fellowship and other ways.  You, the parish (or church), are a great resource of information and we value your input.  The members of the Pastoral Council are always available to you, especially on every 3rd Saturday and Sunday, when we are in the gathering space after each Mass to meet and speak with you.  The council will also be working with members from the parishes Sacred Heart (Rochelle Park) & St. Phillip's (Saddle Brook).

You may already know many of our members by name.  If not, do stop by after Mass on a 3rd Saturday or Sunday and acquaint yourself.  We look forward to meeting you.  To the right is the list of members for the 2019-2020 term.
